Battery Energy Storage System Safety

We are currently working on behalf of International renewable energy and recycling companies to increase safety and knowledge in Lithium-Ion Battery Energy Storage. We are also engaged in planning applications and public consultations for clients developing new Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) facilities within the UK.

We have experience in Thermal Runaway (TR) mitigation and site safety measures as well as post event recovery, RCA investigations, detailed Risk Assessments from battery management to site safety, including incident and emergency response plans (ERP). We project managed and co-ordinated the recovery of the UK’s only grid scale BESS TR event.

Martyn's Law

Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Bill

We offer support and guidance for business’s, educational establishments and entertainment venues potentially affected by the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Bill, also known as 'Martyn's Law' which is expected to become law in 2024. This Bill will require certain premises and events to increase their preparedness for terrorist attacks and to take proportionate measures to protect themselves.

Crisis Management and Accident Investigation

We have the knowledge and experience to limit the harmful effects of unexpected events. Assessing and coping with a situation from when the event happens through to the recovery phase. This includes developing Emergency Response Plans.

We are able to conduct Accident Investigations and assist with Personal Injury claims, having worked closely with local authority legal departments for several years.

We can identify suitable risk control measures and implement a risk control plan to reduce the chances of further occurences.

Communication and dealing with the Media

In addition to Risk Management services we can help with Communication. Formulating a company strategy for dealing with media enquiries both pre and post event as part of your Emergency Response Plan (ERP).
